Colonial Revival Home

Renovation of this 1940s California Colonial Revival home was needed to meet the needs of an active family. The owners loved the historic character of their home, but wanted more connection between the kitchen, family room and the outdoors. The spacious kitchen now flows into a breakfast/homework area and cozy family room without changing the footprint of the house. The multitude of backpacks and sports gear for four children are cleverly hidden behind the wall of the breakfast area, adjacent to the family entry.

The blue bathroom is convenient to the kitchen and outdoor areas and the tub has a hand spray for bathing the family's two miniature poodles. The master bathroom fea-tures translucent onyx counters, hand made tiles, an air-jet tub and a towel warmer for those chilly mornings.
