Personal Style

Sometimes kitchen design is about a lot more than cooking. This is the home of an avid cook and owner of several Siamese cats whose needs were carefully considered in the re-design of her 1914 Craftsman bungalow kitchen in Sierra Madre.

The new design blends function and historic detailing. It also includes imagery that reflects the Owner's personal history with the nearby Santa Anita racetrack and her life long passion for authentic Italian cuisine. The new hardware matches the original kitchen cabinet hardware and the owner created new stained glass for the existing window frames. The family entry includes an area for relaxing, with laundry facilities hidden behind built-in cabinets.

The cats appear to approve… for the most part.
